How do you find permanent peace within yourself, when it seems like the world has turned against you? Peace and happiness can be elusive to many people, but they don’t have to be! If you’re struggling with negativity in your life, try these five steps to finding true inner peace and contentment within yourself. This approach will help you find true happiness and stop negative thoughts from controlling your life.

1) Mindfulness Meditation

Meditation is a powerful tool for letting go. Mindfulness meditation—in which you sit silently, focus on your breathing, and notice everything else that’s going on around you—is one of my favorite practices for finding peace in any situation. When I feel anxious or stressed out, even my five-minute daily practice can set me straight. Plus, it helps to cultivate compassion for yourself during stressful times.

2) Accept What Is

Acceptance is a huge part of moving on. While you might want your situation to be different, you also have to accept that it’s not. Coming into peace with what is can take time, but it’s worth it in the end. Reaching a place where you feel neutral about an issue—not happy, sad, angry or anything else—can help put things into perspective for you. Remember that acceptance doesn’t mean approval or resignation; it simply means acknowledging what is without judgment. This way, instead of continuing to fight a losing battle against your circumstances, you can focus on taking positive steps toward new ones.

3) Start Your Day With Gratitude

Feeling grateful is a sure-fire way to start your day off on a positive note. As you begin your day, remind yourself of what you’re grateful for—the big things, like health and family, as well as smaller blessings that come up throughout your day. The act of being thankful will put you in a positive mindset, which can have far-reaching benefits for your happiness.

4) Use Journaling To Get Things Out Of Your Head

Sometimes things get stuck in our head, either for too long or for no reason at all. To find peace within yourself and realize how precious you are, try writing it down in a journal every night before bed. This allows you to step back from your thoughts each day and reassess where you are mentally. It’s also a great way to clear your mind so that you can focus on what’s truly important—your inner happiness.

5) Book a Theta Healing Session

The Theta state is also considered a healing state. Its benefits have been well studied by scientific research. As a result of the Theta Healing, harmony and balance are restored, resulting in a feeling of peace, well-being and joy for you. It is a self-development and energy healing modality for all to gain a permanent sense of peace.
